The studio’s core mission is to foster a love of music and instill confidence in students through engaging and rewarding lessons. The studio is directed by Tanya Marumo, B. Ed., M. Ed., who brings over two decades of experience to her teaching. She holds a strong belief in the potential of all students to learn the piano and find joy in music. Her background as an elementary school teacher has equipped her with the ability to adapt her teaching methods to suit diverse student needs and learning styles. Currently, Tanya is pursuing her ARCT in Piano Pedagogy through the Royal Conservatory of Music and was awarded gold medals in 2020 for both regional and national categories in Intermediate Piano Pedagogy. Tanya Stojanovic (in the Portland, Oregon location) has a lifelong passion for music, beginning at age four. She pursued a degree in Piano Performance after completing a three-year college education, and later discovered a love for teaching. She has instructed over 120 students, adjudicated over 15 music festivals, and continues to expand her musical knowledge. She also leads the contemporary Praise Team at Oak Hills Presbyterian Church. The studio’s philosophy centers around the idea that "The wise musicians are those who play what they can master."
